Cuisine at Mareas
Our philosophy is that it’s not the chef that makes the food; it’s the food that makes the chef. At Mareas we use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available and prepare them simply ensuring that the qualities of these ingredients stand out.
Tim, our in house chef, can craft menus around personal tastes and/or dietary needs. Our cuisine features exotic flavors of the local Costa Ballena region. Organic vegetables and greens, tropical fruits, fresh fish caught by local artisans, organic chicken and grass fed and aged beef are just a few of the quality ingredients available for your dining pleasure.
Breakfast starts with freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee, followed by tropical juices or smoothies, exotic tropical fruits, farm fresh eggs, specialty breakfast meats specially crafted by local butchers and home baked breads.
The lunch and dinner menu changes daily and consists of a 3-course meal. Our lunch is seated in an open-air bamboo area amidst treetops with a commanding view of the Pacific Ocean. Dinner is served in a romantic candlelit ambiance, surrounded by the beautiful sounds of Mareas’ wildlife and waterfalls.
Our pricing includes: menu crafting, shopping, cooking, servers and clean up staff.
