Mareas Villas is committed to working with the community and assisting the local police and investigators to insure that Costa Rica remains one of the safest vacation spots around.

CAP is a group of concerned and determined citizens, residents, non-residents, frequent visitors, and business owners who want to ensure our area stays safe and beautiful for all and to prevent crime from detracting how special this area is.

Based on community involvement, we were able to fund additional police and security needs for the area. This effort directly resulted in a major reduction of crime. As a result we have enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful area for many years.

Our goals are:

- Support local police by helping to equip, assist, and improve existing locations
- Provide funds for police vehicles, motorcycles, equipment, surveillance and communication equipment
- Improve existing stations and check points by hosting an annual event called Latin Nights at Mareas.

Latin Nights Fundraiser

Mareas Villas first annual Latin Nights Fundraiser was a huge success! It was a wonderful evening of food, fun, laughter, dancing and great music!

We would like to thank the community for turning out to make Latin Nights so special! And we would like to thank Tim and Pilar for hosting this event at beautiful Mareas Villas.
