Environmental
Turtle Release Program
We are a non-profit biological research and education center formed by community members ("citizen scientists") and Costa Rican scientists to create a culture of environmental conservation in Costa Rica. Reserva Playa Tortuga works with the local communities, national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations and individuals to promote environmental awareness and conservation actions in favor of protection of natural resources and creation / recreation of intact coastal marine environments, and the development of responsible ecological tourism.
Tree Conservation Program & CommunityAn ongoing conservation program with Community Carbon Trees-Costa Rica offers a way for everyday, normal people to get directly involved by sponsoring trees to be grown in socially responsible ways as well as help address environmental responsibility. We offer you a chance to combine your energy with that of so many others from around the world to create multi-level food forest solutions which will capture excess carbon dioxide, conserve remaining tropical rain forests full of one of a kind flora and fauna in danger of extinction, and preserve clean water sources. Reforestation - www.CommunityCarbonTrees-CostaRica.com Community: With over 12 years on the ground, real world experience producing, growing and managing forests of widely diverse native tropical trees with an efficient group of full time local workers and a growing community of participating “TICO” or Costa Rican families. We are a tight knit group of passionate co-workers and volunteers who believe in grassroots ACTION. We believe that ONE by ONE, with your generous sponsorship and our commitment, together we can grow huge new expanses of forest on deforested equatorial land owned by local Costa Rican people, One Tree at a Time. |
