Mareas Villas is located in "Playa Hermosa", on the southern Pacific side of Costa Rica, known as “Costa Ballena”. We are 10 miles south of a small town named Dominical and 3 miles north of Uvita, home of the "Whales Tail" reef.

How to get there:

• Fly into Costa Rica International Airport in San Jose (SJC), from here you can either rent a car or drive to Mareas (approximately a half-day drive) or you can take a regional flight from Sansa Airlines, which is located next to the International terminal.
  
  
• By car, it is a pleasant 4-hour trip through scenic mountains. From San José, follow the coastal highway through Jaco.  Turn south prior to Manuel Antonio following signs to Dominical.  Drive through Dominical and stay on highway.  Driving south you will pass the 155 kilometer marker just before descending a small hill. Make that left and go up the hill for approximately four minutes or ½ mile.  You will see on the left a provisional sign for Mareas.  Take that left.  At the fork take the left to the property.
  
  
• By air it is just a 30-minute flight. Private helicopter or plane rental is available or you can book a Sansa flight to either Palmar Sur or Quepos, once you land at either location the drive to Mareas is about 40 minutes. Your car rental company will meet you with a car at the regional airport of your choice.
